Kemp Care Center Kemp, Texas 75143

I had to give a rating of one because a zero rating, which is what I wanted to give, was unavailable. Although there are a few good members of the nursing staff, I know some personally, there is an overall absence of communication between departments. My family member's physician orders went unfollowed for several days. Medication belonging to other patients were nearly dispensed to my family member. Fortunately, my family member knew not to take this medication. Medication brought from home was lost and never found. Meals were delivered cold two hours after there normal time. The social worker, Candy, was very blunt and rude not only to me but also to my family member. Perhaps she is overworked as she complained about that to me during one of our encounters. I found that complaining to a resident family member rather inappropriate and unprofessional. While the administrator, Clark, has a likeable personality, I found him to not be as concerned with correcting a problem unless threatened with a call to the Department of Aging & Disability. Once I was in the process of calling them, did he rectify the situation that had been ongoing for 9 days. Calls on my part to the facility did nothing and only during my second physical visit did this happen. This facility reminds me of a beautiful apple on the outside but rotten to the core on the inside. Overall, I wouldn't put my worse enemy into this facility.

This is a slightly above average care center. With 5 years experience of their care of my mother, I'd say that most of the time they are responsive to her needs. Because they have dementia patients, there is a theft problem and they do not always hire quality aides. The good ones make up for the indifferent ones most of the time. The new facility is spectacular, clean and comfortable. The move, the day before Thanksgiving, was fairly well done but the planning was inadequate. Building inspections were going on that day and people waited for many hours. Those things should have been verified before the move was confirmed. Overall this company does an adequate job most of the time, a poor job sometimes and a great job sometimes.

Ridgecrest Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center Forney, Texas 75126

I recently had my Mother at Ridgecrest in Forney Texas, when I toured the facility we were promised my Mother would receive the following: Fine dining, clean and comfortable surroundings, therphy to regain her strength, regular assistance with bathing, going to the bathroom, ect..what she got, cold bland food with limited choices, her bathroom was cleaned only twice in the two weeks she was there, she called for help and often had to wait 45-60 to go to the bathroom and only two baths..my Mother is a very clean person so when she asked for a bath, she was told, "we are short staffed and the evening shift will have to help you", again the second shift told her "you are not on my list to give you a bath so you'll have to wait until the day shift"..my Mother would call me in tears, one of the two baths she received was by one of your evening NURSES, not her aide, Mother said, this nurse was working I believe two different halls that day, I think she was giving injections or something and answered her light, when Mother embarrassed and crying from lying in her urine for three hours, this nurse immediately took her to the shower, talked to her as a person, Mother said they laughed and joked about this nurse riding her motorcycle (Mother used to ride also) and while Mother was brushing her teeth this nurse had changed her whole bed and taken her fresh ice water, my Mother still talks about this nurse and wanted me to make sure someone knew what a tresure you have. I'm not sure what her name is though. The overall experience of Ridgecrest was terrible, I hope the patients there have a love one to watch out for them.

Kemp Care Center has been making strides. The new facility will be open soon, including new CNAs, RNAs and I'm sure a new DNA. As of now the place is small but very homey like. Almost every bed is occupied but with the facility being so small the residence have been able to learn their neighbors and the activity director is able to hv a different nurse help with games, which allows them to know the staff. Most staff members are as sweet as they can be.

Sunflower Park Health Care Kaufman, Texas 75142

I felt that the staff genuinely cared for my mom. They listened to me when I had a problem and acted quickly. My mom loves it there! Very clean facility. Good variety of meals. No complaints here! I highly recommend that, should the need arise, you send your cherished loved one there. They will be treated like family!

Country View Nursing and Rehabilitation Lp Terrell, Texas 75160

My father was a resident in this nursing home. It was the worst mistake me and my brother could have made. The last few months of his life was a living hell. This facility will take any one. it is all about the money. The staff are not as experienced as they could be. The D.O.N. walks around with her nose in the air looking like the bride of Chucky,and her ADON is arrogant and acts as though her hands are too precious to get dirty. We send our loved ones to them to be taken care of in a time of need. This decision is hard enough without having to go home and pray that they are not being neglected. The food is horrible and the place stinke. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE ,YOU WILL REGRET IT>

This place is a DAM joke. They don't keep up with med for the patience like they are suppose too, and they do not help provide the help that a person needs after they return home. The nurse are not in a hurry at all to take care of the patience. I WILL NEVER HAVE MY FAMILY THERE AGAIN JOKE JOKE JOKE!!!!!!!!!!
