Review of The Courtyards at Pasadena

When this nursing home opened, my mother was one of the first three patients they had to have in order to receive Medicare Approval. She was an Alzheimers patient. Her care at first was very good, (only two others there) but it deteriorated as she was difficult to deal with and they knew nothing about the disease. They tried to force us to hire people to train their staff on dementia patients and when we refused and the 3 months were up, they notified us on a Friday we needed someone to assist her 24/7 or we had to remove her. We removed her. The original staff is gone, ownership flipped and I would never , ever recommend this to anyone as we feel we and she were really dupped for our "private Pay" status. They may be the BEST now, but our memories are very sad and frustrating due to the way they handled us.
