Review of Villa Toscana at Cypress Woods

When you enter the door of Villa Toscana you'll be impressed of it's setting, but looks could be deceiving.

But once you are inside, you can smell the smell of incontinence, seems to me the residents diapers haven't been changed for hours. My grandfather was complaining to me about not being showered for weeks and he was apologizing to me about how he smell. He told me, if he could only shower himself he would not be smelling the way he is. I also observed that when you push the help button, no body is there to attend to the needs of the residents, I have seen this several times, I complained to the head nurse about it but nothing has been done about this issue. One time I was there for a visit, some of the residents were still in bed at 10:00 AM and that was the time the aids started to distribute the breakfast. These residents are supposed to be out of bed and should have their breakfast long time ago. They are served with cold foods, no wonder why they got upset stomach.

I wanted to change my grandpa's underwear, but there was no supply of care materials in his room. I call for the nursing aid to bring him some personal care supply, like wipes, towels and diaper. I have been waiting and waiting till aid came back, and told me there's no more stocks of towels and diapers. Then she told me she'll try to find some from the other hall, I waited again, finally she came back with towel and diaper which is not the right size for him, I told her its better than nothing. She said she just got the diaper from another residents room.

With regards to the administrative staff, they are very friendly and can talk good. But talk is cheap, what is very important is, how the residents are treated and taken cared of.

I would give a zero star for this nursing home.
