Westgate Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Havertown, Pennsylvania 19083
Westgate HELL. My 51 year old sister was dumped here by Baltimore Washington Hospital for physical rehabilitation and died within two weeks. Not staffed by enough licensed nurses and just one part time doc for what the facility says serves 120 beds. Sister went 12 hours without medication. Nurse said sister would get her medication "when she gets there."
When she died, I was told I had to "move her out within four hours." Older patients were walking around with unzipped pants; patients sitting in their own feces,

My 80 yr. old Mother has only been in this facility for a week, and is hating it! She rings in for assistant but no one shows up for about an hour later, and it doesn't matter how many times she rings in, they continue to ignore her calls. She is at their mercy if she needs to urinate or needs medications or what ever it may be…Emergency or non- Emergency !!! I plan on relocating her to another facility A.S.A.P. !!!!!! THIS PLACE SUCKS !!!
Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Broomall, Pennsylvania 19008
I wish ! could give a rating of negative stars. My mother lived there for 2 years and I saw the same behaviors as other people noted. The staff was so rude, uncaring and just plain cold. Aides would stand around and talk while patients yelled for help and beeps going off everywhere. My mother fell and had bedsores and had pneumonia that took about a year to recover from. Nice from the outside but that's all. Pass this one by.

I am really surprised by these negative reviews on the internet, because my experience with Broomall Rehab & Nursing was so different. My brother lived there for almost three years, and I always felt that he was cared about and well cared for. Staff members were always pleasant and responsive to me, and I was always informed about the slightest problem. My brother could no longer walk, yet he never developed bed sores, because the care was so good. The facility is remarkably clean and never smelled. I really found the staff to be caring and kind, and they were tremendously patient with all the residents with Alzheimers Disease or other forms of dementia. I think it is true that they could probably use more staff at times, because it is a hard and demanding job, especially working with all the dementia patients, some of whom are rude and downright abusive to staff members. I honestly feel that Broomall is being misrepresented in many of these negative reviews--perhaps because people have unrealistic expectations. I would absolutely recommend Broomall based on my experience with this nursing home.

The facility is run mainly by LPN's, they barely have enough time to do anything but push meds. The administrators appear to want to cover up everything, the injuries, the high infection rate, high staff turn over. Residents do not get the proper care they need.

The place is fantastic and has great care! Programs , rehab, are great. Food is average, but accomadating for special diets! I would highly recommend this facility for anyone's loved one!

I too truly do not understand the low ratings. My Mom who is 90 years old has been wonderfully cared for at Naamans Creek Country Manor. Her medical needs, social activities, and the staff social interaction has been nothing more than excellent.

I have a family member on the third floor you might as well be in a prison.
There is no treatment for what those people are going through they are
on medicine and sit and do absolutely nothing you might as well be dead….

Naamans Creek Country Manor is the not at all clean. This place has had more virus and sickness from residents and staff members due to dirty facility. The adminastrator should be fired along with her full time lady receptionist. The Activity Director was very unprofessional as well and seemed to have many problems. I am concerns for those poor helpless residents.

I'm not surprised by the previous posters' comments about the staff being unprofessional. Susan Eccles and her staff have been rude and dismissive to our family. They are very unprofessional, have lied repeatedly and seem to care only about protecting their jobs. I hope people looking for a good place to put their parents or relatives will consider another home. It's a beautiful place and very clean. But the coldness we have encountered in regards to care for our aunt is disturbing. I hope the owners of the facility take mine and other comments posted here to heart.

the aides on the 3rd floor dementia unit are very good, but the nursing staff are the rudist people usually making you feel as if you are annoying them when asking questions about your loved one, they are disorganized and very very unprofessional…I would never use them again and hope that if the time comes for me to go into long term nursing care, my daughter does not send me to Broomall.

I have never wanted to offer a poor review about anything until now. There's a poster in the lobby with very appetizing food on it but that's not what my family member received. The breakfast was "toast" that was white bread that had not been toasted but perhaps baked and it was all cold. The facility is old and filthy. There's a stench that you cannot miss no matter where you are in the building. The therapy gym on the main floor seems respectable and we all appreciated the therapists involved in our loved ones care. Most of the nurses were nice but many seemed brand new and dangerously inexperienced, clearly unsupported, understaffed, intimidated by superiors, and most seemed to be trying to make the best of a depressing working environment. We quickly moved my family member to another facility because of the overall uneasiness we all felt about keeping them here. I did not realize the scores they've received from the review boards but it makes sense to us now.

Amazing is the first word that comes to mind . Amazing how the patients are herded into an area and left there . Amazing how with all wheelchairs at the end of the hall are either dirty , broken or having leftover food on them from who knows when .Amazing how when walking the halls , the room lights are blinking ( calling for assistance) and no one answers the call . Amazing how this facility can house these patients and not care for their personal dignity . Amazing how a nursing home can be so understaffed during the course of day . Amazing how the staff can retire at night with a clear conscience and finally wouldnt it be AMAZING to see the changes they would make if THEIR loved ones were inmates.oops. patients. oops . i meant residents because that is what it is described as being a residence . Amazing how many of the staff WOULD NOT allow their family members to move in . And some aren't even given their teeth or hearing aides. Amazing huh?

Took my Father-in-law here for short term rehab. This facility was overcrowded and they had no respect for the patients.
Broomall Manor Broomall, Pennsylvania 19008
If there were "NO STARS" I would have selected it. However, the one star is for the nasty and unprofessional manner of which I have been dealt dealing with the staffing there. I will file a grievance complaint against the facility. No one should be treated in an unprofessional manner:(

Poor level of care….

It was a decent place recommended by a friend, who's mother was there. The place is beautiful and inside was like brand new. The therapy was good and my only complaint was the food.
Bryn Mawr Extended Care Center Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania 19010
The outside of this facility is beautiful, unfortunately it ends there. Upon entering the building odors hit you in the face. I have been to many nursing homes and have never had those odors. The facility needs to invest in deordorizers and humidifiers. There is no menu for patients. Much of the food is full of salt and fat. Nursing care is abyssmal. Families need to be aggressive to get anything done. CNAs do not work well together. The administrator and director of nursing are not accessible by phone. You leave a voice mail and if you are lucky you will get a call 24 hours later. If your loved one is in B wing, there is no wired phone service. They are "working on it" according to the administrator. My sister was there for 45 days,no phone. There is a cell phone available for patients if the staff gives it to them. Unless this is the only choice, GO somewhere else. My sister did give good reviews of their physical therapy department.

I am profoundly disappointed with the admissions staff. The organization is terrible and the environment is completely unprofessional. There are just a couple employees that in my opinion are too good to work there!

Took good care of my aunt. The staff was professional and friendly.
Harlee Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Springfield, Pennsylvania 19064
The administrator personally inhibited my parent's therapies which were prescribed by multiple doctors and backed by the state. She held a meeting with POA of my parent and berated them. This further deterioated my parent.Consequently my parent had an emergency medical condition needing emergency services which this institution failed to respond to.They just neglected my parent while needing medical attention.I believe the admin wishes for death of their patients.

My grandmother lived at Broomall Rehab and Nursing Center for 8 years. She started on the early dementia floor and received excellent care. Her aides knew her personally and always had her looking pretty and well cared for. There were times that we had questions or concerns but the staff at Broomall, always made time for us. Nothing is like home but we were blessed to have Broomall take care of our Grandmother.
Broomall Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Broomall, Pennsylvania 19008
Broomall Rehab proved to be the opposite of what we searched for when my mother was there: the staff was overwhelmed and although perhaps well-intentioned, they were too busy to pay attention to the needs of the patients. I witnessed lack of sensitivity, unprofessionalism, and staff turnover was extremely high. The staffing on weekends is particularly bad. In fact, my mother was dropped by a CNA which eventually led to her decline. As a result of our bad experience there, I entered into the field of advocacy for long term care and know now better than ever that Broomall Rehab is deficient on multiple levels. I would not put anyone that I love there.
