My dad was admitted to ICU with a blood sugar of 1450 on March 21, 2016. He was in acute renal failure, critical sodium level and critical lab. His ER doctor, pulmonary and admitting doctor stated that it was brought on by severe dehydration. Dad had been living at San Remo for almost 2 years. He was admitted into Baylor Hospital in January to simple check his feeding tube. However, was admitted into Baylor hospital for 3 days due to dehydration, severely constipation, (Graphic description the stool was the size of a single brick).

The family constantly informed San Remo what the doctor stated at Baylor Garland that my dad was dehydrated. In addition to that he need to be given more water according to his hospital stay in January. The staff ignored us and some resented us for visiting so often. Most of them are uncaring, and lackadaisical. If you love your family members I highly suggest keep do not chose here. There is so much more I do not have the time to write all. I wish someone warn my family. San Remo nursing home need a overhaul gutted and re-evaluated with competent workers. If I could give them a negative star I would they deserve not a single star. My dad is now in ICU without Medicaid they fail to keep up on that as well; even after speaking with Connie in the office regarding his finance six weeks ago; April 2015 and according the social worker dad's Medicaid has been expired since February 2015. Neglect from the head to the tail.

I recently moved my cousin out of the Village of Richardson because frankly it was terrible.

While there they lost all her clothes, one day we came in and out of 24 ensures that we had left there in her room refrigerator only 4 were left when we check on her that week. We had an instance of a healthcare assistant ???hitting her with a shoe and I can go on and on.

Not all the assistants were bad but they are under staff and the weekends are terrible.

When we moved her to another home they sent her without proper clothes and she was cold, cold. She had just a night cotton shirt. I have never been able to recuperate any of her clothes.

She was very seldom dressed properly. I finally got tired of listening to the complains and of reporting this to the social service staff.

Believe me, I have no idea what they do with the clothes.

Wow, just because you are new on the inside and outside does not always mean you take care of your patients. My mother has never been so unhappy at nursing home. Stop thinking of people as numbers and remember that they have needs and should have good care. Staff members cannot answer the call lights like they need to. Please think twice about this place. I know I am.

Great Facilities. Beautiful rooms and lobbys , great location . Caring therapists that went out of their way to assist , doctors on call (just ok) and all nursing and personel in general .Just watch to make sure pills are administered on time, could be a little more careful in this area , overall a 4. Not a lot of entertainmnet , other than Tv at the facilities , but the little restaurant downstairs served decent food. Like I said I just thought we needed to be on top of the nurses to be on time on pills , although they were very caring and very helpful for the most part .Good positive, atmosphere , never problems with parking .

this is a beautiful place… it's clean and neat, therapy seems to be well organized, the menu is fairly decent…

HOWEVER… after nearly three weeks there, and several discussions about response to call light timeliness, nothing has changed in this arena… it has taken as long as 45 minutes to actually get a NURSE into the room… I don't know why anyone who gives ratings trusts what the place GETTING the rating says… but their claim of time with nurse is patently false…

tonight, My wife's nurse was downright hateful to her… if I can get her out of there to another place, we're doing that… if I CAN'T, I'll bring her home and nurse her Myself…

this is unconscionable

This was the worst care I have ever had a family member receive. The nursing care is horrible because they are under staffed. My husband had two baths in 5 weeks time and that was done by OT staff not nursing. Lab work was drawn but not sent to lab and had to be drawn again stat on the next day. Discharge orders for another patient were left in his room with all of her private information. The food was horrible and always served cold.

I would not ever use any of the facilites by this company again.

Our experience at this facility was not good. My mother couldn't wait to get out of there -- the nurses were overworked and had a bad attitude. Though the facility is new and looks very nice -- it is understaffed. I wish I had done more research before considering this facilty.

Most of the staff are nice, but sometimes pretty slow to answer the call lights of patients even though they appear to be free. Be advised, NO PHONES in rooms, and nurses are LVN's, not RN's. Contact with facility Doctor is scarce. Cleanliness is a bit of an issue, but nice rooms, lovely facility, and good therapists.

I had a special needs brother who lived the last 10 months of his life at The Plaza. I had alot of concerns with him having special needs. My family and I could not have been more pleased. He received excellent care. He was loved by staff, fellow residents and family members of other residents. Everyone looked out for him. If there was a problem or issue, once I brought it to the attention of the staff, it was addressed. This is a top rate Long Term Care home in my book!

My mom has been there for three years. One year in assisted living, and two in skilled nursing. We have found stuff to be caring and helpful. The facility is well run, and scores high with the state.

More staff would be good.

This facility has deteriorated in the past year since expanding their operations but not the staff. The evening nursing staff is limited to one nurse located on the second floor. Nurses aides are trained to answer night calls from patients by turning off the light and later notifying the nurse on the second floor. Often the food was late and cold. The social worker was a trainee and dismissed medicare patients after one week, apparently, to make room for more profitable patients.

I have nothing but good things to say regarding Lindan Park. I took care of my mom for the most part of the past 11 years and was a mess when the time came to place her in a nursing home. If only I had known then what I know now. The entire staff at LP has now become a part of my family. The ADON Silome, Linda, Eunice and Kayla are really some of the best persons that I have ever met. My first contacts were with Lynn and Karma. They were so comforting and continued to help with any issues that arose. When an issue did come up they were always resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. The staff put up with a LOT from me. I was demanding and at times belligerent. They were always understanding and I must reiterate that the resolution to any issue was always to my satisfaction. The facility is older. However, as Lynn told me during my first visit "If you want chandeliers go elsewhere…If you want to sleep well at night, then this is the place for your mother". I agree with that completely!!! I was there every single day and at different times. I witnessed the entire gamut of shifts. My mom died in her sleep yesterday morning. There is no question in my mind that I made the right decision in placing her in Lindan Park. If you are considering placing a loved one in a nursing home I strongly suggest that you consider Lindan Park.

We were also "taken" by the tour. Once there, my 86 year old Mom was on her own. Rarely was she checked on. Had to ask for water, walker, went days w/o a bath. By the way, she had DOUBLE knee replacement! Nursing staff sucked except for Fran. PT was great. Everyone talked about how wonderful the food was. It was slightly better than the hospital, which also sucked.

I've been home a week now and had an absolutley wonderful expirience at Remington following a bilateral knee replacement surgery. The food was great and the culinary staff were very attentive to my special dietary needs. The therapy staff and nurses on the third floor were awesome! I have been to lots of rehabiltaion facilities in the past several years and my expirience at Remington was exceptional. They are one of a kind and truly offer a beautiful place to recover. I hate seeing the other negative reviews, that was clearly NOT my expirience. Thank you Remington staff for the wonderful work you do!

Don't be taken in by the tour. Looks are deceiving. My loved one was there for over a week. Depending which staff was on duty, that would dictate what instructions you would get for the patient. Nurse would say I am putting this ice on their knee and will be back in 20 minutes. We don't want the ice on longer than that. After 1 1/2 hours Nurse comes back in and seems surprised that she forgot to remove the ice. Then states that it really doesn't matter how long the ice is on the leg. However, we were told by the next nurse, ice should never be on for over 20 minutes. If we thought she needed the cradle on her knee for movement, we had to call the staff or other wise, she was just left in her bed to sleep. She could have done that just as easily at home. We had a couple of meals at the "cafe". We were told the first two times that they didn't take cash or credit cards. Then the last time we ate there, we were told that they did take credit cards.

We had money stolen from the closet in our room. Also, a really nice warm up jacket grew legs and walked away. We brought all of our concerns to CEO who assured they would follow up. Never happened. Oh, and the director of Nursing asked if maybe our loved one was "confused". We had a knee replacement not brain surgery. Be careful and watch how your loved one is cared for if you choose this place.

The business office and front desk are polite when you are speaking with them face-to-face but they don't do anything they claim they will do. Besides numerous mail screwups and requests to fix it, it gets worse each time. And each time I complain they are so nice and friendly and indicate they will fix the problem. Only they don't, they make it worse. They've returned mail to the retirement home my dad came from and they promised not to do that anymore - I got the invitation to the Thanksgiving dinner 2 weeks after Thanksgiving. Now they changed my address to Dad's address where he lived BEFORE he went to the retirement home. I keep giving them all the information Medicaid requests but at this point, several months later, I'm sure none of those papers made it to the State either.

Dad has been pushed by staff, they did research that complaint and the guy is not on Dad's hall. He hates the food. He hates the way they treat him in the evening and at night. The environment isn't the best but they are trying and for that I am grateful.

The only good thing is that medically, they are taking care of him and he is doing much better - so much better he wants to escape. Dad is quite lucid and not afraid to speak his mind about things. I'm grateful they are taking care of him but I'm also glad that for now, I can check on him to make sure he is ok.

I thought this was going to be the place for my mom to do her rehab for her knee surgery aftercare but boy was I wrong. They did nothing right from day 1. We went on word of mouth that this was a great place, its not. In the future I will do more better research for family. Please do not take your loved ones to this place.
