My rating is a 1. The physical therapy is ok and the PT staff is ok. The physicians did not talk to me about my mother who needed acute rehab after a stroke. I have heard from other families the same thing and that the doctors have been sued many times. This does not surprise me from my interactions with them. Most of the nurses can barely understand english and have no desire to take the time needed to care for the patients. Overall, the medical care stinks.

My mother went to Burke for hip rehab and was on oxgen 24/7 however an aide left her while tank ran out. She had to call 911 due to no response from staff for her stomach. They lost her teeth then after searching an putting her off for a month an two weeks decided to pay for her dentures, there concentrator had sticker almost two years old. Then she was sent out with breathing problems to er. Got her teeth day before she died never got to wear them. The fourth floor plumbing in there washing center is rusty fixtures. CAUTION BE THERE EVERY DAY W/your loved one
I had a very similar experience and am sadden that even with all the lawsuits (or more accurately, confidential arbitrations) nothing ever changes.
