I would definitely NOT send a parent or loved one to this facility. My experience with the staff is that they are burnt out and this is reflected by the level of patient care provided (or lack-there-of). Staff members that I was very familiar with often ignored call lights and treated many of the residents with disrespect. My question is, why are you in this position as a caregiver and do not enjoy nor want to do your job well? Also, there is great lack of unity among staff. No teamwork among care providers was evident whatsoever, very disheartening. I overheard a CNA ask another CNA for help with a difficult patient who was also very heavy, and the other CNA just looked at her and said no, she was on her lunch break. The charting is stuck WAY in the past (still using paper charting) and no electronic records are kept. I was very disappointed in what I witnessed at this facility, and as a caregiver myself, it truly makes me sad to see people taking advantage of these vulnerable residents.
