DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!! They are NOT accredited by the JCAHO (Google it)!!! Both my parents lived at this facility before they passed away. At first, when my parents were on the assisted living floor, this facility was OK. Not great, but OK. When they were transferred to the 3rd floor ("skilled" nursing floor), everything went downhill. My dad passed away in 2008 at age 90. When my mom passed away last year (2014) at age 96, my whole family was completely disgusted with everything surrounding her care during her last few days, as well as the staff's behavior after her death. Where do I begin?

    1. My mom was in stable condition until she got a small cut on her hand. The cut was never properly treated and she contracted sepsis. A 96-year-old with a heart condition cannot fight off sepsis. Mom became delirious from the infection and passed away a few days later. She might still be alive if the cut on her hand had been properly treated. Infection control procedures seemed minimal at best. This is shamefully poor care! And yes, as some of the others reviewers said, if you needed help from staff, it took FOREVER to get someone to come. SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED.

    2. My mom's wedding ring and other valuable jewelry mysteriously came up missing after her death. Of course, no one at Wadsworth Pointe knew anything about it. Big surprise!

    3. In the last few hours of my mom's life, the staff told one of my sisters that there had been 2 funerals in the past week. Then she added: "They come in threes." They were already counting on her dying before her actual time came! To say this was rude, unprofessional, and unfeeling is an understatement.

    4. After my mom passed, one of my sisters went to the nurses station asking where my mom's glasses were. One of the staff members said "What does she need them for now?" Again, rude, unprofessional, and unfeeling. Hello!!! Are these people trained in ANYTHING before they're hired???

There are many, many other issues we had with this place. Not enough time to write them all. Just keep your loved ones as far away as you can get from this hell hole!

Compared to other nursing homes I have had experience with this is a terrible place to have care for your loved one. Workers are very good and do what they can but are obviously very understaffed. Residents wait a long time for attention when needed. Building interior is in need of repair. Office spaces are cluttered and unprofessional looking. Overall I get the impression owner of facility doesn't care and only does the minimum required by law.

This is honestly the worst nursing home I have ever seen. My grandmother was placed here, not by choice. Everyone was sick on the level my grandmother was on and they would not let visitors in for the weekend. My mother snuck in to my my grandmother unable to move cause she was so sick with a can of pepsi next to her bed. she had to be transported to the hospital because she was not in the condition to drink by herself and the staff knew that. I will never recommend this place, and they are the reason why my grandmother passed so quickly. Please don't put anyone thru, what my family had to go thru.

I have a family member who lives at Wadsworth Pointe (not by my choice) and have personally observed physical and verbal abuse of the residents from certain aides and staff. The food is not fresh and healthy. Maintenance is slack. Administration has no eye contact with you. No one asks who you are when you enter the building. The activities are limited and not very imaginative. I personally would not suggest moving anyone into this facility unless a lot of changes are made first.
