I cannot recommend this place. A family member has lived there over a period of time and it seems the place has deteriorated to the point where I am ready to report them for neglect. During our last visit, there was a deep film of dust on everything in the room, the blankets were filthy, bed sores are evident yet no one ever came in to shift his position during the extended time we were visiting and he was not clean shaven or dressed in three of our last four visits. I sincerely doubt that any therapy is being done as our family member has hardly any muscle tone left.

I've been trying to find a way to e-mail a message to the director of nursing regarding my mother, Susan Gerrek, who is a current patient in 801. Your web site gives very detailed information, except how to contact individual personnel via e-mail, unless I simply could not find that information. The desk quite often doesn't have someone to answer the phone. I just want to ask that my mother finally be put on a regular diet, which my brother thought had been clarified yesterday when he was there. I learned that she is still refused whole wheat bread/toast. This is a simple pleasure: she dips the toast/roll/bread in her coffee after each meal. She has dentures, needs soft food but not ground. I will again try to reach your director of nursing via phone to finally straighten out this problem. Most of her care has been very good with few glitches. My mother is 101, has macular degeneration, hard of hearing, but has 100% brain power. I'm a retired R.N. and no doubt react more forcefully to needs/requests not being met. I've worked in hospitals and emphasize with shortages of nursing staff.

I also am an advocate for those whose needs are not being met, including family.

I live in Indianapolis, was with my mother for the first several days in your hospital.

My mom was there for therepy from a broken hip.We had to take her food to eat because the food was so bad.You don't give someone ham and pork to eat who has high blood pressure problems like they did my mom.The place was not clean and some of the staff was nice but two times they brought my mom in the wrong medications. They belonged to someone down the hall.As far as therepy, only one hour a day and when she asked for more, they said her insurance would'nt cover it,but it did.We moved her to another establishment.Very bad place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
