Looking over the reviews on this site, it is when Lebanon Country Manor was ran by Kindred. HUGE changes since then.. Therapy is no longer as good as it use to be. Still understaffed, and the aides do not work with residents based on things they are working on in therapy. If you have a loved one there, be present, know what is going on.

    Quality Excellent

My husband spent the last sixteen months of his life living at Kindred in Lebanon due to Lewy Body Dementia. We were so fortunate to have this caring facility so close to our home. It allowed me to be with him every day. He was on the Alzheimer/Dementia Unit. It takes patient and kind people to work with patients with serious mental and physical problems. I felt all of the staff looked after me as much as my husband. I was a mess when I placed him there…guilt-ridden, sad, torn about whether I had done the right thing. In time, the special people who work there helped me through this. They walked this difficult walk with us every step of the way always ready to help with each new challenge. I will always be grateful to them…the nurses, aides, therapists, administrators, even the cooks and cleaning folks. Thank you!

My mother was a resident of Kindred Lebanon for over 8 years. During that time I never felt anything but graditute to the management and staff for the outstanding care they provided my mother. They constantly remained in contact with me concerning her condition or changes in medication. During the 8 year period there were numerous changes in personnel, but, for the most part, the new people continued the same fine care. Even some of the departed indivuals continued to visit my Mom. This indicates to me that even though Kindred is a business the staff treats you as family. I cannot say enough to describe the assistance that Kindred-Lebanon provided my Mother and I until her death in October 2012.

I was happy when I first spoke to someone in the administration at Kindred about putting my Mom in there. The facility was clean, cleaner than most I had seen. She would be close to me so that I could get to her ASAP. I was however disappointed about being given the wrong paperwork to fill out for Medicaid, and the lack of communication between employees from one department to the next. All copies of my Mom's identification and medical cards were taken upon my first vist and NONE of that information was communicated to other staff members involved in Mom's care such as the financial department that sends the bills out or the staff in the Alzheimer's unit.

I was also dispointed that it took 4 days before they helped my Mom brush her teeth. She has Alzheimer's. I had to make a stink about her personal hygene to get something done for her. I ask the administrative personel what I needed to bring for Mom and was told they would provide her toiletries. When I confronted the staff in her unit about her hygene, they told me I had to provide her toiletries. Being new at this nursing home care business I was getting misinformed or two different messages almost every question I ask. I would have thought the the nursing home would have had some kind of orientaion type thing or at the very least a memo for the staff involved regarding a new resident that would have helped everyone.

Now that she has been in there for two months things have gotten better. She is always clean and feed.

I was also disapointed about the facility itself where the Alzheimer residents reside. They have no access to the outside unless we (the family members) takes them out doors. The facility my Mom is in has a very nice court yard that she can not get to on her own. I understand that in the winter this isn't possible, but during nice weather it would be nice if she could sit outside on her own as long as she is able.

We attended a "Care Conference" and it was helpful. We could voice our concerns about her care and visa versa. We will attend everyone, every three months. It is very helpful.

I think that Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation over all is great. The staff that they have are very helpful and caring professionals. They try to make the resident comfortable and make it like their home while they are in the facility. It is a smaller facility and I think it makes a better care facility. I would recommend this facility to everyone because of the staff and their ability to help their residents.

Personally I believe Kindred to be one of the best facilities in southwest

Ohio for rehabilitation therapy and long term health care needs.

I have needed to be here on occasion several times over the

last dozen years or so and always found the level of care to be

absolutely first rate. The nursing staff and STNA staff have always

been intelligent, friendly, professional and hard working. The

administrative has always been the same. The food and nutritional

staff are great. The level of cleanliness is top notch. After having made

a couple of mistakes elsewhere I would recommend Kindred to any

and everyone with health issues for themselves or loved ones.
