  • Park Terrace Care Center Corona, New York 11368

The only reason that I am giving this place 1 start is because I don't have an option of giving it none. We r there less then 1 month and I don't have 1 nice thing to say. Just stay away. It's old outdated and an absolute nightmare. No communication. After being there for such a short period I feel like we lost the 3 months of progress we made at the acute facility. Find another place. This one SUCKS. Don't listen to all the people that tell you that they have great therapy and care. I don't really know about that yet. I do know that the dr is incompetent. Her license should be revoked. Looking to transfer patient immediately.

The staff at Park Terrace Care Center are to say at best - horrible. Nurses are too busy speaking in their own language to even care for patients. They yell at each other while using names of patients in English which makes it extremely uncomfortable to hear. The social worker and coordinator are essentially useless. They tell you what you want to hear then turn around and do the exact opposite. Patient care is extremely poor - I do not know what staff get paid to do. My father was on the 2nd floor for several months. He became more crippled as the weeks went by. There is no advocate for patients at Park Terrace Care Center. How the facility stays open is beyond me. Beware of this nursing home.

Be careful when you discharge a patient from this facility. Make sure that you receive enough training and do a lot of research on what to expect when you take a loved one home who is disabled. Park Terrace gives little training and does not discuss the implications, danger, safety of bringing a patient home, especailly a disabled, incontinent, partially paralyzed patient. They do not assess the home. Once you bring your loved one home YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.. Beware from taking someone home from this facility… your life can easily be turned upside down and or destroyed like ours were.I took a patient home only to have to send him back to another facility (Park Terrace wouldn't take him back) The apartment and the living conditions were found to be unsafe by the visiting therapists, home health aides and any visitors to the house. Imagine having to bathe, change diapers in a kitchen sink. Park Terrace said that was safe.

Having to send him to another facility has been devastating for both of us. there are no words to express the sorrow, disappointment and depression we are both experiencing
