I like this place because the staff treats you very good. I like the food very much and the soup is the best. Recreation always plays music which helps me relax, I dont want to leave. I like the way they are painting the floor and changing stuff around.
Very happy with the services received here. They were professional, courteous and took great care of my brother. He was in a lot of pain and they took care of this and got him back on his feet. Very thankful to the whole team.
It was a very difficult decision placing my elderly mother into a Nursing Home. Promenade made this experience much easier. The staff was warm and caring, Her room is always fresh & clean, she loves the recreation department and outings and she keeps raving about the food!! I am continuously pleased and extremely impressed with the level of care and the time that the supervisor always has for myself and my family. Promenade is her new home and my mom couldn't be happier!!
This place should be shut down. I'm sorry for the workers that it would suffer but this olace is awful. My fathers clothes went missing despite the fact that we would do his laundry. And more importantly he developed a horrible bed sore. He was never changed in a timely manner. They wouldnt turn and reposition him. I sat there for several hours waiting for them and no one checked on him. He lost 40 lbs in a matter of months and he was near death when we yanked him out of there. It was smelly and dirty all the time. It's very sad. They promise to take care of your loved one and they dont.
Very rude and dishonest staff. Not a place for loved ones in my opinion. I have been lied to and misled by the staff here with no sympathy on their part for my family.
I wish we had done some research before allowing my sister to be placed in this horrible place for rehabilitation. The staff are mean, the food is brought to the patients cold, sometime they serve hot dogs to the patients, my sister has high blood pressure and can't eat foods loaded with salt. But they didn't care, she was left soiled for hours, the staff would take hours before coming to her room to change her or the soiled sheets, even after being summoned hours before. The rooms were dirty and smelled of urine. The garbage was piled up high, floors were not cleaned or mopped daily. My sister would have to call them to give her pain medicine and staff would ignore her. My sister was healthier when she first got there but when she left there she was worst off then when she got there. She got a urine infection from that place, bad asthma and bed sores in her bottom as well as her back thigh. Someone stole her jump suit from the closet which had her name on it. I don't recommend this place to a dog let alone a human being.
This is a fantastic nursing facility. The nurses are very caring & compassionate & the entire rehab department (PT/OT/ST) are excellent. My grandfather received the best of care & was very happy with his overall progress. A thank you to everyone!
I have recommended many people to Holliswood and all were treated exceptionally………
The only reason that I am giving this place 1 start is because I don't have an option of giving it none. We r there less then 1 month and I don't have 1 nice thing to say. Just stay away. It's old outdated and an absolute nightmare. No communication. After being there for such a short period I feel like we lost the 3 months of progress we made at the acute facility. Find another place. This one SUCKS. Don't listen to all the people that tell you that they have great therapy and care. I don't really know about that yet. I do know that the dr is incompetent. Her license should be revoked. Looking to transfer patient immediately.
It needed a rating .I give it zero stars
Rude staff and uncooperative.
Patient is in a new facility and is very happy
This facility is horrible! Unsanitary conditions, I've seen roaches crawling in patients room, centipedes also! The treatment given to patients who can't fend for themselves is horrible! I saw an aide hit an older patient who was on a wheelchair coming out the bathroom with his pants off cause he soiled himself! I could tell it's done a lot cause the poor man covered his head and face! Not enough staff and the ones who are working are too busy socializing amongst each other!
My relative is in the process of being taken out though they try very hard to keep him there bringing up all the possibilities for him to be left there!
Grant you a lot of these places are horrible but if you can help it do your research very well and see the ratings of the nursing homes!
The staff at Park Terrace Care Center are to say at best - horrible. Nurses are too busy speaking in their own language to even care for patients. They yell at each other while using names of patients in English which makes it extremely uncomfortable to hear. The social worker and coordinator are essentially useless. They tell you what you want to hear then turn around and do the exact opposite. Patient care is extremely poor - I do not know what staff get paid to do. My father was on the 2nd floor for several months. He became more crippled as the weeks went by. There is no advocate for patients at Park Terrace Care Center. How the facility stays open is beyond me. Beware of this nursing home.
The staff is friendly, nurses are attentive, and the rehab is fantastic!
staff member and two hirees stole nearly 10,000 dollars from me in a scam.
Getting my money back has been proven impossible.
I came here for short term rehab and had a great experience. I am a nurse and I had the kindest CNA I have ever encountered. She was always available when I needed her and very attentive to all of my needs. The RNs are busy but are still available. Most of all, the therapists are wonderful at what they do. My hat is off to the staff here. They have a highly demanding job and handle it very well and I am grateful for the care I received there.
My aunt, has been at Bridge View Nursing Home for a number of years. When I called to find out about her not could anybody find her but they said they had no record of her. I called back to speak to another nurse. Same result.
Since then I’ve left voice mail for three of their executives, including the owner of the home. They seem incapable of returning calls.
I got my mother into Dry Harbor when she couldn't live on her own any longer. Since I live out of state and cannot have my mother live with me, the best option was Dry Harbor. I had heard positive reviews about the place plus I was very impressed when I took a tour. It is very clean and well maintained. The staff on the floor is very friendly. My mother receives excellent care and attention from the nurses and staff. The woman who takes care of the Medicaid application and processing is very helpful and easy going. The food is excellent and the ambiance is great. The rooms are nicely furnished and the atmosphere is pleasant. I feel my mother is being well cared for. I am thankful!
Be careful when you discharge a patient from this facility. Make sure that you receive enough training and do a lot of research on what to expect when you take a loved one home who is disabled. Park Terrace gives little training and does not discuss the implications, danger, safety of bringing a patient home, especailly a disabled, incontinent, partially paralyzed patient. They do not assess the home. Once you bring your loved one home YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN.. Beware from taking someone home from this facility… your life can easily be turned upside down and or destroyed like ours were.I took a patient home only to have to send him back to another facility (Park Terrace wouldn't take him back) The apartment and the living conditions were found to be unsafe by the visiting therapists, home health aides and any visitors to the house. Imagine having to bathe, change diapers in a kitchen sink. Park Terrace said that was safe.
Having to send him to another facility has been devastating for both of us. there are no words to express the sorrow, disappointment and depression we are both experiencing
The staff at this rehab center really cared about getting my grandmother better so she could return home. The nurses were busy but were always friendly and helpful. I could not believe how patient the therapists were with her. They let her go at her own pace and I eventually got her back home. I would have liked to see her doctor there more but he was always available when they called him. Parking is crazy, but its in Flushing so I was surprised that there is even a lot next to the building. My grandmother is doing great now and I know its the rehab staff I have to thank for that.
The facility is clean compared to most places I have seen. Staff is a mixed bag with some very good and others a total waste of a life. Those are in it to get a paycheck.
On their breaks they do not or very infrequently cover for each other. The common phrase its not on my shift or the person who has her will be back soon which is code for about an hour.
The activites are extremely lacking and the facility seems content to pile the patients in the lunchroom for the better part of the day like cattle in a freight car. This is their way to do less since they are in one room which is way too small. The cheapest of the facility to hire more people really degrades the facility.
The P/T is staffed with people who could care less other than having employment not to mention their knowledge!
This place is "for profit". Be aware that they care more about the billing, how you will pay them than telling you how your love one is doing in this facility. The nurses are fine but you need to stay on top of the doctor in this facility to ensure he is giving your relative the proper medical attention. Our experience was a disappointing one with this facility.
SHOULD BE NO STARS………….THIS PLACE SMELLS HORRIBLE…UNPROFESSIONAL FRONT DESK….SOCIAL SERVICES UNPROFESSIONAL AND EVERYONE WORKS IN CAHOOTS EVEN WHEN THE NURSE/DOCTOR KNOWS THEY ARE LYING TO YOUR FACE. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANOTHER ONE OF MY PATIENTS TO THIS PLACE. THE CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONES IS NOT ON TOP OF THEIR LIST. THIS ESTABLISHMENT NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN AND EVERYONE FIRED. HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER.
My father was forced by his physician to send an entire month in this hell hole. That was done without my approval and against my wishes (I am his healthcare proxy and power of attorney). The nurses didn't care about him, the physicians didn't care, and the food was pure slop. We were both lucky I was finally able to remove him or, I'm sure, he wouldn't be alive now. I wouldn't recommend this home to anyone, let alone pay good money for total lack of service and caring.
Stay away, this is a house of horrors! You've been warned!
