Review of Regency at Waterford

1 Star User Review

My mother was at Regency at Waterford for rehab and then for nursing home care. We thought the care was wonderful until the last days of her life. We had to fight to get her care, including it took 6 hours to get her changed and any meds. Even at one point the staff itself would tell us how understaffed they are and we saw many of the staff not hand washing (my mother had two highly infectious deceased). The day staff is wonderful when the familys are most likely to be around but stay after 10pm if you want to know if your loved one is being cared for. My mothers passing was not only a sad time for us but on top of everything we had to fight for her restful and humane care. If you have loved ones in this place PLEASE PLEASE take matters into your own hands and stay after hours to make sure things are handled for the safety and health for them. Including making sure that these diseases are not spread.

I feel your pain. My dad ended up with C-Diff while at Regency at Waterford. I personally witnessed the nurses and PCA's going from patient room to patient room and NEVER once washing their hands!! This place is a joke and needs to be inspected by the state under stricter guidelines. Come on, they have been open for a little over 3 years AND still have the same problems/issues??!! Time to hire some individuals that care about the patients AND care about making a difference!
