as far as nursing homes go, Pekin Manor is good. Nobody likes visiting nursing homes and nobody likes to be in a nursing home. Nobody likes to put a family member in a nursing home. My grandparents were there for about a 1 month rehab stay and the faculty was friendly and accomodating. They were treated very well and had very few complaints about the facility. They only needed minimal assistance however, so I cannot speak for an individual who would need more assistance and how they would be treated or accomodated. The nurses in their hall were excellent and my grandparents actually enjoyed their company. They would visit with my grandparents and exchange stories. They are moving into an assisted living facility now, but if the time for nursing care arises again, they will be back in Pekin Manor.
