My grandmother was temporarily living at Halmark House for her rehabilitation services. Our family noticed that there appeared to be a shortage of staff for the residents. When a nurse/CNA call button was pushed, it averaged the staff anywhere from 25-35 minutes to respond to the call. She was also supposedly able to take meals in her room, but over time, the staff kept insisting she be wheeled down to the cafeteria. Unfortunately, she was left SEVERAL times down in the cafeteria for several HOURS! This was distressing to her and was the reason she preferred to take her meals in her room. There were several incidents we felt shouldn't have happened with her care at Hallmark House. We, as a family, were very upset with the lack of care/apathy to the residents living in this home. I wouldn't place any other family members in this facility.
