My Grandmother went to this facility and when she went in she was supposed to receive extensive rehab so that she could get around better.Prior to that she was living alone in her own apartment at the age of 71.
But then she began to fall and Kaiser recommended Signature health care to get her strength back. But this facility drastically changed her. The staff was friendly but we now knew that it was all an act. My grandmother was there just 20 days all of which we visited for 4 hours a day. And in that time she basically became a vegetable. They had her so drugged up she didn't know who we were.
And her health deteriorated rapidly. Now she's bedridden and can barely speak and she has bed sores so badly that when we change the bandages we can see bone, and is in constant pain and on morphine. And they had the nerve to tell us to put her on hospice. Now that she's home she's getting much better care though we doubt she'll ever be the same.
Long story short never send your loved one to this facility because they will kill them! And worse still is the fact that they have the health department in their back pocket so any investigation will come up unfounded. This place needs to be shut down before this happens to anyone else. Our family didn't deserve this and neither does yours.

Your experience is not new, nor only at this location. Sub-acute "skilled" nursing facilities that accept Medicare and Medicaid are sometimes slow torture chambers for the people who must use them and need them the most. Legislation is what MUST change…the number of people allowed to care for the number of patients is impossible! Profit is what most of these establishments are ALL about, and that's our representative's faults! We must demand that care supercede profit in the medical field.
