My father-in-law was there after his stroke. When he improved and was moved to assisted living, he liked to go back just to visit. Eleven years later, when he was no longer able to be in assisted living, he ASKED to go back. In the front office, both Connie and Doreen are very compassionate and kind. They met dad at the door and made sure he was comfortable. We never experienced staff being unpleasant. They were always responsive and understanding. They don't hesitate to do upgrades, either. Among other improvements, all the residents now have flat-screen TV's and the floors have all been redone. It's always clean and the food is also pretty good. My mother-in-law is now there. It's around the corner from us and we visit often. We would never consider any other place.

How Rancho Mesa got 5stars from the government and 1 1/2 by the state of cal. is interesting. They don't deserve any stars from what i saw on my visits. I will keep my dad at home before I would subject him to the rude staff that work there.

I find some of the staff are very very very Rude. Especially the license vocational nurses. Very very rude. I hope the owner is aware of this and put an end to this.
