This is absolutely the worst place you can put your loved one. I had my mom there due to an illness I had, she was there a little over a year, she is one hundred years old (100). She was grossly neglected, her toiletries were stolen, her shoes, her clothing, her pillows, blankets, her bras, and they were never recovered ($100's) of dollars. She was always dirty, her wheelchair was always dirty and so were the other residents. They had very aggressive patience on the floor she was on and they were left to walk about without supervision. The nursing staff and care givers if you could find either one of them on the floor our grouped together talking about there whatever DIDNOT care, just don't bother me; or smoking out back left my mom without the right supervision; she was pushed three times by another person twice the third time she was seriously injured. None of the staff showed remorse. DONOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!!!

Loved one was left in bed for 24 hours. Would have been at least 40 hours if I had not insisted loved one be lifted into wheelchair. Supposed to be checked and changed every two hours. Only happened twice in nine hours. Took loved one out!

First of all I would like to say that I have had loved ones in this facility and the staff there was caring, compassionate, and attentive. I am not sure where others were at, but apparently it wasn't here. I find it quite interesting how people put their family members in a facility because they can't care for them and then expect the staff at the facility to be perfect when they have ten plus residents to care for. It's also interesting how so many are quick to say horrible things about the facility their loved ones are in, but they still leave them there for years. What does this say about their morals and priorities? The staff endure far more than our families have had to, and yes it is their job, but when we couldn't even do a perfect job at home with just one who are we to turn our noses up at those who care for so many? I have also done what they do from aide to nurse to management and none of those jobs are easy in long term care, so if you haven't, then maybe you should volunteer and make things better instead of bashing the facility and staff. Put your energy into something positive instead of this form of slander and negativity. Also keep in mind that due to the changes in government funding most of the staff at several facilities are caring for those we love at the same rate they were hired into 2+ years ago, but they continue on caring while others continue on badgering.

I went back 4 days later to visit my mom and to speak with the Director of Nursing in regards to moving her ASAP. Once again, the facility STILL smells like urine and feces. The elevator was in the process of being repaired. I found a hole in the wall in the hallway with exposed pipes and wires. Med cart still unlocked. I am appalled at how rude the nursing staff is to patients' family members. I asked for a piece of paper to write on by one of the staff members, and she was talking on the telephone to her boyfriend WHILE I'm standing there waiting to ask for assistance. I think State needs to make a surprise visit, and perhaps the Fire Marshall. This is an inhumane way to live. Cockroaches won't even come into this facility…it's that bad!

My mother is a resident here and I'm moving her from this facility ASAP. I discovered that her things were being taken by staff members. The building has two elevators, and one has been broken for over two months! The place smells of urine and feces, the housekeeping is extremely poor. I'm a LTC skilled nurse and I can honestly say I found at least seven HIPPA violations while visiting there recently. My mother's hygiene was poor. She was also left in a wet brief. I'm extremely livid at this facility and it's rude and hateful staff, nurses included. Also, the med cart wasn't locked. This place needs to be shut completely down. It's unsafe and dirty. I'm absolutely disgusted that anyone would consider putting their loved one here. Check it out for yourself! The animal shelter is cleaner than this! NO JOKE!!
