It would be a stretch to give this place a 1! I would not let them take care of my dog, or worse my cat since I am not a fan of cats! The CNA's are horrible and mean! The owners don't care and the nurses are clueless!

I'm sorry to learn of your negative experience. I will try to respond to your general concerns.
We do our best to select the best qualified and most personable Certified Nurses Aides. We have found that most people who choose this career field do so out of a genuine desire to help and serve others. We also have the benefit of being a teaching facility - so we have the opportunity to observe Nursing and CNA students and then make an offer of employment to the best of the class.
Our facility is not owned by a large corporation nor are we one of many in a chain of facilities. Our owners live locally and at least one of our owners is on-site at least 5 days out of every week. My experience over the past 5 years with this company is that our owners care very much about our patients and our staff.
As with all our staff, we attempt to hire the most qualified and best performing Nurses. Our Nurses work in 12 hours shifts, and generally work three days in a row on the same hall with the same patients. This allows them to become very familiar with the needs of their patients. Our charting and documentation is all electronic, so as soon as someone (Physician, Social Worker, Nurse, CNA, etc) enters their documentation, it goes into the medical record and is available to the Nurses. There should not be a situation where a Nurse is "clueless" about the needs of a patient.
