Keller Oaks is a hidden jewel, most people dont know it is there, since it is off the road on Davis Blvd in Keller. They have a wonderful cheerful staff. You walk in and it is bright and clean, shiney floors. The only thing I smelled was the food cooking. Great first impression and it only gets better. I know a little more since I have family who have worked in nursing homes in past. Too much emphasis by State is on RN's. They have more than adequate LVN's on staff for each shift and you can have more CNA's for the price of 1 RN,the CNA's who actually do the hard physical work with the patients. They also have a great Respiratory group for onsite treatments, and this is not just a nursing home, they do Rehabilitation work also. They also have church services, do arts and crafts, a library, and a private dining you can arrange for a more personal visit with your family. Did I mention the bus service they have for patients? I have had 2 family members use Keller Oaks this year, both were unfortunatley terminal and have passed on. But the care was top notch. I was also amazed that after burying my family members, Keller Oaks continued to care, they actually sent a lovely prayer card and a hand made wooden box with a BIBLE! They didn't have to we were gone as a client, but we were treated more than number or patient. We were treated like family! With much love and respect.
