The cleanliness of the facility is supurb and my grandmother is very happy. The staff seems adequate in its care and ability to care. However, there are some real problems in the office of the facility. Prior to my grandmother being admitted the admissions staff said they accepted her insurance when we showed her card. However, several hours after we left we received a phone call that they did not. We were instructed to change her PCP to the house doctor and that would take care of the problem. After several hours on the phone we were finally told by the doctor that this was not possible. Obviously the admissions staff isn't fully educated on insurance or the rules associated with it. The billing office also miss-posted a payment saying she owes a large private pay balance - it's been over a week and no verification of where that payment is has been given to us. The office staff has better hours than bankers as they never get there before 9AM and are always gone well before 5PM. The social worker who does the care plans also schedules meeting with family members without their permission, will not change the meeting times for any reason, and even if we show up, she is no where to be found.
