Review of Texas Institute for Clinically Complex Care

As far as his medical care I guess they were OK. However right now I am extremely annoyed with one of their policies. My step-father was transferred to Cypresswood on March 25, 2011 from another facility. On March 26th, I stopped by and took another set of clothes that had been left behind. A few days later, I get a call telling me he had no clothes. I argued he did but they swore he didn't. Went and bought more clothes. When I took them in ran into a nurse who originally checked him in and logged in all the clothes that had been transferred with him. Never even got an apology. Recently he was hospitalized (Oct. 12th). He passsed away on Nov. 7th. Went to pick up his belongings only to be told HE HAD NO CLOTHES! After several calls, I was told that they thought his former roommate had taken his clothes when he left and moved to Florida. I was finally asked if I had receipts. Well I don't have receipts from clothing items purchased 8 months ago. I was told to try and come up with prices as close as possible. Today I was told that without receipts they would not give me a penny. By the way, still no apology or acceptance of responsibility. So whatever you do, if you have someone stay at this facility, ALWAYS KEEP EVERY RECEIPT. It makes you wonder, if they can't keep their clothes straight, what else are they not keeping straight.
