When my husband's mother had a stroke 4 years ago, we knew where we would go for her long term care…Country Trails Care Center in Grand Saline, Tx. We had known several people who had family in CCCC and we knew about the high level of care. My mother in law came into CC with a feeding tube and could not talk. That was 4 years ago. Yesterday, she was eating in the dining room, feeding herself, enjoying chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and peach cobbler. She now talks so we can understand much of what she says. She loves the staff and the staff loves her. They call her Granny. But this is not an isolated case. The staff is so good and so attentive to all of the residents. I know because I am down there several times a week. We have had 5 family members there. By now I would have known about any problems and there has been none. When I cannot take care of myself, my husband and I want to go to Country Trails Care Center.
