Our father has been in GV for only a short while before he had to be transported to the hospital where the doctors said he suffered from dehydration, anemia and pneumonia. All of these symptoms should be easily avoided if proper care was given to him on a regular basis.

Administrator and Head Nurse are difficult to deal with, and not trust worthy.
Facility is grossly under staffed and not managed well, often rooms smell.
It is difficult to locate assistance, even though several workers are at the nursing station. They tell you, thats not my room; and they don't call/find the appropriate person.
My observation was they work hard at not working, rather than focusing their time assisting their guests.
I suggest if you must use Golden Villa, keep very good documentation going in, watch your loved ones closely, and their personal items. Constantly ask the vital questions, and document the answers/results. Ask to review nurse notes about your loved one. The staff, the facility, sometimes they lie. Watch the type of drugs given and the purpose. Drugs are given to keep guests sleeping and silent.
Don't get too friendly with the staff and watch your back.
