This place is a complete disgrace in so many ways…for 30,000 dollars a month, stay at the Hilton. You will get better medical care from the maids.
First of all, the "doctor" was a complete enigma. He was never seen, and never addressed any of our questions or concerns. There is absolutely no medical care to be had here!
Second, if one of the staff is kind enough to assist your loved one into a chair (and do not worry, they probably will not be), they will probably be nowhere to be found when your loved one needs to get back into bed (hours later). In fact, you may get a sore, red rear-end before anyone ever comes back. Oh, and never mind the fact that your loved one cannot reach the call button before the staff leaves the room. What do they care? If they can't be reached, they can bullshit longer at the nurse's station.
Third, dogs running around the ventilator unit and jumping into the patients beds. Need I say more?
Fourth, if you are going to have carpet, at least clean it. It smells like a locker room. And the smell of the bathroom was indescribable.
Fifth, but most abominable: the food???? Are you kidding me???? Dinner: two slices of white bread and a slice of bologna. It is completely unbelievable. We had to take my father dinner every night or else he would have starved.
And a note to the staff: do not underestimate the families. We have the power to shut your place down. And you may find yourself on the other side some day. Hope someone makes it as miserable for you as you did for us.
