wow i wish i would have read these reviews before i put my mom in this horrible place, every review written is what my family has endured, my mom went in better then she was with in 2 weeks, she was there for rehab and in two weeks they had her up in a chair once, she ended up with pneuomia a bed sore, we had to tell the staff what to do and still didn't do there job, would not recommend this place to anyone

I would rate this place a one, if that. I have a loved one in here for short term care after major surgery. He was able to walk when he first got here, but, now can't even stand up. The aides act like they are afraid to do anything and it takes forever for anything to get done. 1 nurse for 15 patients is RIDICULOUS! No patient care at all. We have to ask for things to be taken care of or to have a Dr. look at something specific. We notice everything and have to bring it to their attention. I didn't go to medical school, they did. We are looking into getting him out as soon as we are able. Please, please look at all your options!!

I really don't even want to give this place one star they totally violate state laws on patient care. Please do not ever choose this place. They place dementia patients in Geri Chairs as a form of restraint. The do not take the time to spoon feed or give water on patients who are not able to feed themselves. They leave patients sit in dirty diaper for long periods of time. They staff is not caring at all! My father is in this facility for a short period of time and I am working agressively on havimg him removed. He went in to this facility walking, talking, going to the bathroom on his own and feeding and dressing himself. Less than 2 weeks he has dramatically gotten worse. He lost a lot of weight and is barely able to speak or care for himself at all. The family has to visit frequently until he is moved to a new facility just to be sure he is taken care of.

Wondeful place! My mother was here 2 different times and had nothing but good things to say about the home. Her biggest compliment was how clean the home was and how friendly the staff is. Would definitey reccomend anyone come here.

Was told we had two choices on how laundry is sent out to an
"out of county prison" which takes about a week for items to be returned or family has to come in to pick up… Nothing to sign on agreement which confuses staff and family members when only a verbal response is given…. I had to acknowledge staff that the family made arrangements to find a private business within the area to take care of items in timely fashion…. I personally find this type of service a disadvantage since things have been lost and not returned in a timely manner to the residents that reside there.

dont send your love one there, poor care
Concordia Lutheran Health and Human Care Cabot, Pennsylvania 16023
Only spent one night in your facility and definitely would not recommend the facility to anyone. Staffing questionable as to required levels, call nights not answered promptly, noise level high, possibly scabies acquired from damp or unclean cushions on a wheelchair or from bed linens. Dissatisfied absolutely and will continue to tell other people about the facility.

You have to stay in touch with the staff because they are not consistent with their care.I would never send anybody i care about there. You have to tell them you want your loved one showered if not they won't get a shower. My loved one got weaker there instead of stronger. My advice stay far away from this place!!!

Had a loved one in this facility for several months so I spent a lot of time there. Bottom line, marginally adequate care but rude staff. There were a few that actually were actually attentive to client care but the prevailing attitude was negative. My wife went to the nursing station once to speak with the nurse once. The nurse didn't even look up and just said, "what do you want?" When I was there, they seemed to make some effort to make it look like they were interested in the patients. However, when they were not aware that I was there, they were not nearly as nice. Facility has not been updated in +20 years.

my review is ZERO stars, period. Filthy-Filthy-Filthy…..had to check on 'loved' one constantly. Witnessed all sorts of 'no-no's…1.aide picked up a pill she dropped on the floor ,brushed it off, and actually GAVE it to a patient. 2.another aide delivering dinner spilled some peas on the floor and LEFT them after stepping in them. When 'loved one' brought it to his attention, he just sniffed 'i have to call housekeeping!' 45 min utes went by with no housekeeping. 'loved' one couldn't make way to toilet due to slippery peas. 3. nurse dropped loved-one's breathing tube on floor, picked it up and attempted to put it in patient's nose. CAN YOU SAY SEPSIS or MURSA??????? 4. just don't. period.
