i wish there was a negative rating family member was a patient finally got family member out of this place, please go to this place before consideration of placing a love one, look at the meals they offer to residents, look at staffing schedule if they even have one posted, most of staff comes and go no long term staff apparently stays very long. i strongly suggest just to visit on evenings and weekends to see yourself. no sitting area to visit family member. parking area not paved , so that makes it rough and kind of dangerous when walking especially if you need cane to walk, not enough handicap parking.

#1 being worst, I had my grandmother there for p/t & o/t she has been there for 5 days now & I am having her moved out today, they told her She has had to urinate in her depend at least 2 times before they will change her because they are low on depends, she is not able to walk & they do not have a bed pan for her to use so she just lays there waiting for them to come & change her, She is a diabetic & there are no orders to check her sugar , she takes breathing treatments 3 times a day & yet there are no orders so she is not getting them either.Edgewood told us they have a doctor that will be coming into see her but yet they are not sure when that will be the days keep changing , my grandmother has not been cleaned up or had a sponge bath since she has been there the tape from her IV she had at the hospital was still on her arm after her 3rd day there when her nurse came into the room we asked her why it was still there she said for no reason & took it off . a lady across the hall had urinated on the floor & they took the blanket off the bed & used it to clean it up, there was no A/c in my grandmothers room with the temp. out side being in the low 100's high 90's when we asked why there was no A/C we was told they had just moved a man out of that room the same day my Grandmother was brought in and the man had his own window A/C. the room my grandmother is in is very dirty the curtains are stained up with what looks to be blood or stool , there is a lot of dirt built up on the bottom of the walls , the room has a strong smell of urine which was present when she was moved in and has only gotten worse do to her not having a bath and being made to lay in her own. I would not recommend sending a loved one to this place it needs shut down

I made the difficult decision to place my brother at lucasville II on Sept, of 2011, I am pleased to say he is doing very well, thanks to the caring staff. They have accepted him as part of their family. He is happy and always clean and groomed.

I call often and speak with different staff members and everyone tells me the same reports. When he has any problems or medical appts. the staff calls to inform me. I couldn't ask for better treatment for my brother. I have peace of mind knowing that he is in good hands. I live about an hour and half from the facility, and can only visit once a month, but I am confindent he is in the best place for his condition! The building is older, but is clean and never has any usual smells. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Should you be looking for a caring facility, please check out this one. Thanks for listening. I'd give them 5 stars, but nothing is perfect, right?
