The Rehab unit was nice as long as the patients were alert and oriented x3. If patients were not able to do things for themselves they would have to wait or it just wouldn't get done. They always ran short staffed and therefore people weren't getting cared for as they should. A few cases where nurses lied about what had/hadn't been done. When you talked to the staff they seemed to be annoyed with you. I do understand they were under staffed, but if I had questions about my mom I wanted to know. My mom was In the rehab unit for 6 weeks and I met only one nurse that actually CARED about the patients and she was quiting the day before my mom left because of how terrible people were cared for and how understaffed it was. The only good thing I can say about the rehab unit is that it was always clean and never smelled like other nursing homes I have seen.
