Legends may be okay for a brief stay and recovery patient, but after two years of witnessing this facility's totally inadequate care of a long-term private-pay client with some dementia, I would absolutely advise against anyone's choosing Legends (Massillon). Numerous complaints have been filed with the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and verified as having merit. The facility exhibits an outdated license in their entrance hall which doesn't even list the current (Florida) ownership. Yearly ODH surveys routinely turn up nearly a dozen "findings" and the agency has threatened (2011) the facility's Medicare/Medicaid status.
