Beware of Baton Rouge Medical & Rehab Center of Lima, Ohio! If you are looking for a nursing home for your loved one, think twice before considering Baton Rouge. Aesthetically it is beautiful, but that is the only positive statement that can be made about the facility.

Infections are rampant and few precautions are taken to prevent cross-contamination. My patient received substandard care and had to be admitted to the hospital numerous times due to infections; as a result, he lost all Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield benefits because he had too many hospitalizations. Prior to becoming a patient at Baton Rouge he had no infections or pressure ulcers. When he died he had a stage 4 pressure ulcer and several types of infections due to a lack of good quality care. I even saw the need to hire someone to stay with my patient every night to make sure his needs were being met.

If I had read a review like this, my patient would have never gone to Baton Rouge.

medications not being given as written.No medications given on 2nd day when I had numerous prescriptions from Dr. patient medications not given in timely manner and not allowed access to my hospital disharge medical records until I was signed out of the facility.Prescription nurse said to me someone call the police because I am fixing to got to jail for hurting me then laughed about it.

My mother is/was a resident of this facility and have had numerous problems with her care. One night I made a surprise visit to find my mother who is completey disabled lying in her bed with only a diaper on and it was completely soaked.She has a no bed order (suppose to be restrained in the chair) and is suppose to be changed every two hours. This was done after I complained about her being soak through while wearing her PJ's. I WOULD NIT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY TO ANYONE THAT CARES ABOUT THEIR LOVED ONES!! When I spoke to the owner he blew me off and made excuses for everything! He just wants the money, don't be fooled by the appearance!

Lost Creek's staff were so friendly and warm. They were there to help with anything we needed. Mom really felt at home. Even though she isn't there anymore, the family is always invited back for events which we attend. I would recommend Lost Creek to anyone (and have!)

Please DO NOT place a loved one in this unit. The staff is constantly complaining they hate their job and cannot provide information on the condition of patient because this is not the floor usually worked. The level of so called care is well below the norm. The staff could care less about the patient. This unit is your worse nightmare. A one star rating is wwwwaaaayyyy to high…no negative stars!
