Villa Georgetown Rehabilitation and Healthcare Cen Georgetown, Ohio 45121

I put my sister who was dying from cancer in this facility the beginning of this November(2012). From day one this facility failed to do what we asked them to do-keep her pain free as possible!! She was put in a room that had a bed you had to hand crank and the light by her bed you had to pull a metal pull chain the was on the wall at the head of her bed!!! She had bone cancer plus five other types of cancer and moving around and getting out of bed was painful. She needed an eletric bed(which she later got). She would turn on her call light and it would take the help for ever to answer it! She fell from a sitting position on her bed to the cement floor and hit her face and nose on the hard concrete floor! Lucky nothing was broken but she should have never fallen to begin with-she was pretty drugged up at the time and she should have been watched closely! Later she was put in a private room because she was in really bad shape. To help keep her out of as much pain as possible-she was to have her pain meds given right on time(EVERY TIME) that did not happen! Most of the time her pain meds were 1 to 1 1/2 hours late!! The night before she passed away-the nurse did not giver her pain meds til 1 and 1/2 hours late!!! My sister suffered so much before she passed away because the nursing staff didn't do their job!!! We found out the nurse that took care of my sister the night before she passed away had forgotten she was to work that night so she was working without any sleep and NOT in a good state of mind!!! Overall I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone!! My sister was there for only about a month but her care was shameful!! If it were not for her family members coming to see her everyday and hounding the Villa staff to do their jobs-my sister would NOT haven't got the care she needed and deserved!! Alot more stuff happened during my sister stay at the Villa but no room to put everything!!! I don't even give this facility a one star-maybe a 2 star minus rating!!! Needs lots of improvement in all areas!!!!!!!!!!

Ohio Veterans Home - Georgetown Georgetown, Ohio 45121

My husband has AD and is in the "special care" unit. He has been there since January of this year. The OVH is fantastic. The staff is pleasant, attentive and very patient with the residents. The unit is sparkling clean and there are never any unpleasant odors. I cannot imagine a better experience for my husband and me.

My mother lives here. The smell is horrible. The only activity available is bingo and cards. Most of the staff has not had additional training since they started there 20 yrs ago. Much of the staff has a relaxed attitude..since they have been there for so long; they are there to stay. If my mother asks to see a doctor, it takes them weeks before they get her an appointment. My mother complains every day how bad the food it. She said the food looks and tastes like mush! She also said things were much nicer and better when she first went there 6 yrs ago. I ask her to move to a different place; she says she is too old.

My dad has been a resident here for over two years. This home is the nicest nursing home I have ever been in. The residence is clean, nice and doesn't smell like a nursing home. The nursing staff are wonderful, so patient with the residents. Lots of community organizations visit and do activities with the residents.
