Review of Premier Estates of Cincinnati-Riverview

1 Star User Review

Not enough staff, and uniformed staff from one area is pulled to cover another. Residents are lined up to use the bathroom because there is not enough staff to help them individually. Basic cleaning supplies, toileting supplies, and food have been cut to save money at the expense of resident quality of care. The actual staff themselves complain about these cuts routinely. The administrator does not resolve these issues. I was given one price per month when signing the contract, however, the bill is complicated to follow and the monthly price ends up being way more. I would never choose this nursing home again.

I am glad to hear that you made a report, and I am so sorry that you had to go through all of this. I had all of the same problems you listed as today. It got so bad when my family member was there that I gave up my job and stayed with him almost around the clock. They over rode his diet as well. He was supposed to be on honey thick liquids and every time I left even his floor to go to the bathroom I'd come back to find a glass of unthickened water or coffee in front of him, and he had repeated pneumonias due to this that weakened him to the point of death. The same thing was done with his food. He sat in line for hours waiting for the bathroom as well. His room was constantly filthy and I can't tell you how many times I found him laying in soiled clothes with scabs on his body due to it. I stayed so much that they stopped seeing me as a family member and as a fixture, so they didn't hide stuff from me any more. I can't tell you how many times I'd been there for hours and hours and suddenly would watch the nurse start screaming, "A family member is coming. Get it in gear." And, they would start running around making things look like what they should to get ready for the family, and it was all hiding filth, neglect and abuse. Yet, in their mind it was all my fault. I was just a complainer. The mistreatment spread to me as well when they saw I was going to stay enough that they couldn't hide this crap from me. So, I check on here every few months to see if the State has caught on yet.. Every time i see that the state is rating them as a 4.0 I get sick and throw up, because I know what really goes on there. Please also contact ProSeniors at 345-4160 so they can work with the State to really get this cleaned up before more old people get hurt. I'd just like to see the State explain why this home is rated as a 4.0 when the residents rate it as less than 2 and there are so many complaints. When my family; member was there the family's were so unhappy. We used to have lunch together sometimes and just cry and cry and cry together we were so unhappy, but most people were too afraid to make a report. Thank you for making a report.

I DID MAKE A REPORT TO THE OHIO STATE DEPARTMENT TODAY. THEY TOOK MY FAMILY MEMBERS DEIT AND OVER RODE THE DOCTOR AND CHANGED IT. ROOM WAS FIFLTHY AND HAD SHARPS IN THE CONTAINER FROM WHOM KNOWS HOW LONG. AND LOST HER PRESCRIPTIONS NOT TO MENTION THE BUGS IN THE SHOWER AND THE LACK OF RAILINGS ON THE BED TO KEEP HER FROM FALLING. AND THIS ALL HAPPENED WITHIN3 HOURS. WE TOOK THEM HOME IMMEDIATLEY.

Hi. I had a family member there a couple of years ago, and I am shocked and saddened to see that nothing has changed as I talked and talked and talked trying to make things better for residents there. The more I talked, the worse I got treated. They even tried to make me feel guilty. It was horrible. It was honestly the worst experience of my life. My family member would sit in line for the bathroom for eight to ten hours at a time. Medicines were always messed up. There is not enough room to write everything that went wrong here. Sadly, I never reported it, because employees said things to me that made me afraid to report it. I feared for my family members safety. Please don't make the same mistake I made. Please contact Pro-Seniors at 7162 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH 45237

(513) 345-4160 and please ask them to help you know how to make a report to the state medical board. Until people start doing that nothing will get better and residents will keep suffering
