Review of Premier Estates of Cincinnati-Riverview

My mom seemed to like this place but she was very sick and didnt notice a lot of things, I have noticed a lack of organization, cleanliness, and poor medical equipment. Also I think its plain as day and really sad that some of her belongings were stolen! They would say "oh its just been misplaced" (which is absolutely no excuse) but I honestly feel her things were stolen and by the staff! One day I came to visit her and she was in distress which ultimately resulted in a trip to the hospital, but while we waited for paramedics to arrive, the nurse tried to get her blood pressure with a broken blood pressure cuff, also her bathroom smelled horrible and the sink held water.

Forgot to say before - my family member had a bunch of stuff stolen too. I talked to them about it and they always said it was misplaced. I stayed very close to my family member. One day I was working with an aide to lift my dad up and something of my dad's fell out of her pocket. I knew she had stolen it. I went right to the DON who did nothing. I was so upset that I went up and sat in the dining area with my family member, and I was just shaking. A resident we had befriended came over and asked me what was wrong. I told her. She told me that two weeks before she had caught that very same aide taking money out of her drawer. She wheeled herself in the door of her room just in time to see that very same aide take a $20 bill out of her drawer and put it in the pocket of her scrub top. She has also gone to the DON and had been poo-poo'd. Nothing was done. That aide was still there when I moved my family member some place else. I am quite shocked to see these things are still happening.

I had a family member in this facility and was shocked and surprised to see that the same things are still happening a couple of years later. I talked and talked and talked but it seems no one listened as nothing is changing. My family member was treated so badly there that two years later I still wake up having dreams of things that happened to us - I wake up in a cold sweat, sometimes screaming. The more I complained internally the worse both of us were treated, but I was afraid to make an external report as some employees there said things that made me afraid to say anything outside the facility. Please don't make the mistake I made. Please report it to Pro-Seniors at 7162 Reading Road Cincinnati, OH 45237

Things are not going to change here until people have the courage to make reports, and until things change these poor residents are going to suffer. Please don't make the mistake I made. Please make a report and keep on making them until things are as they should be.
