Review of Batavia Nursing Care Center

1 Star User Review

The quality of this facility has seriously declined since it was bought out by new owners. Beds don't get made, patients wait forever to have call lights answered, staff is unresponsive to complaints, need to be reminded to follow up on doctor requests or need for prescriptions. Very uncaring attitude. I would not recommend!!!

The reason for the decline is because the staff has been cut to such a minimum that there is not enough nurses and nurse aids to care for the residents. This is true especially on the night shift. It makes it very difficult to care for 40+ residents when there is only 1 nurse and 2 aids. Of course if you ask management, they will tell you they are fully staffed. The floor staff are caring people and are just as discouraged about the care as everyone else is, but the management that is running the place is the problem. Until someone steps in and changes management's attitude about caring for people instead of how much money they can make off of each of the residents that come and go through that facility, the care will keep declining.
