Was shocked to see how some of these precious people were having to live in many of these rooms. We visit often from the church and try to bring a little joy to many of the people we don't know. We hear it over and over that the food in the last 12 months continues to get worse. One lady we visit regularly, she is very sharp she knows that the staff has tried to give her meds that are not hers. Because they may have to care for Alzheimer patients does not mean everyone has Alzheimer. I feel sure the low pay for staff and all that is happening to our elderly care - the employees need more help, more money and etc. These people we have visited say the staff steals that candy, treats, and etc that loved ones bring over. Unless family takes care of these washing of clothes, clothes go missing. The stories I hear are heartbreaking Hope someone that has some kind of pull will take interest and forces changes, just think about yourself being there. They are scared what they say, not knowing how they will be treated if their voice creates a problem for those that are reported and the staff friends they may have. Many times they withdraw and just shut-out and try and silence what they are having to daily endure. Please pray for changes that will impact those that need to care and prays their hearts will do what is right in the care for our loved ones.

I was told that there use to be rats and mice in the nursing home but that has been cleaned up. But currently….I was told (and all this by patients) that they over drug the patients and give them medications they do not need. They also have said that the food has gotten much worse. They have noted that they've seen fresh bananas, grapes and apples come into Rockingham Manor (7 boxes at once) and never once did they receive them. It also appears that they have their stuff stolen from their caregivers.

I have had to visit your facility very recently and I have to say I was not pleased. These elderly pay to much money every month to live under the circumtances that I witnessed. There is know reason why the paint should be pilling of the walls, toilets that are very wobbly, holes in the walls by some electrical outlets. The sheets with holes in them, patient tables that used at their bedside and have their meals on were leaning badly. How could anyone eat off of a table that leaned that bad is beyond me. The cleanlyness of the facility was very poor. What's the point in a review if it's not going to be reported. But I hope someone reads this and gets the point.
