Review of Diamond Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

1 Star User Review

One of my parents lived here. The care was awful. They were understaffed. We got food poisoning from eating there, and so did many of the residents. The staff claimed it was just "stomach bug" going around. We knew better! I visited very often and stayed on top of things, but it didn't help my parent get better care -- it just made me sick!

Warning: I toured this place before ever considering it for someone I love. I toured and researched every local nursing home I could find. The bottom line is, they show you only what they want you to see and tell you only what they want you to know. Even visiting unannounced wasn't very revealing. Beware, and pay attention to the condition of the residents. Don't be afraid to talk to the residents either. I had residents afraid to talk to me because they were afraid. I guess I should have taken that as a hint.

I would have to believe that if there was in fact food poisoning the entire facility would be affected and the State Health Department would be involved. In a Facility like this, a stomach bug can be passed to many residents very quickly. This seems more of a possibility than a case of food poisoning.
