Review of Peninsula Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

I wish we had done some research before allowing my sister to be placed in this horrible place for rehabilitation. The staff are mean, the food is brought to the patients cold, sometime they serve hot dogs to the patients, my sister has high blood pressure and can't eat foods loaded with salt. But they didn't care, she was left soiled for hours, the staff would take hours before coming to her room to change her or the soiled sheets, even after being summoned hours before. The rooms were dirty and smelled of urine. The garbage was piled up high, floors were not cleaned or mopped daily. My sister would have to call them to give her pain medicine and staff would ignore her. My sister was healthier when she first got there but when she left there she was worst off then when she got there. She got a urine infection from that place, bad asthma and bed sores in her bottom as well as her back thigh. Someone stole her jump suit from the closet which had her name on it. I don't recommend this place to a dog let alone a human being.
