While most of the staff is friendly, response is slow when needing help in the room. Some staff speak disrespectfully to the elderly patients. Food is often served cold. Patients with mental illnesses are left in the halls for several hours each day. Kings Harbor policies aren't adequately explained at admission. The first floor west wing hall floor is very wavey, making it hard for wheelchair patients. The cafeterias, family rooms, Day room & outdoor pavilions are nice and well maintained. The food when hot tends to be good and the variety is adequate. On sight dialysis unit is a definate plus. The therapy department while well staffed could use new equipment.
