Kindred appears to have over medicated my mother. They sent her to a psych doctor without consulting family members, and left her in a urine soaked diaper that caused stinging and rash on her skin! Finally, released her without proper notification to the family, who had to rush to prepare a place for her when insurance could no longer cover her. Poor staff communication, family members got blown off, and ignored even when watch was kept over the loved one. Took a lot of effort to find out what meds mother was taking and tests done. Family never spoke to psych doctor, only to mother. Strange…she has dementia?? Kindered told us she had dementia because she has Sundown syndrome and is hallucinating. Yes, it suspect, the medication given to keep her to chemically compliant may cause such symptons? NV Dept. of Aging and attorney contacted. Further tests showed mother does not have dementia after family took her to visit another doctor and facility. At least one good thing came of out it, the person who left her in soaked and stained diaper, got fired!!
