I don't believe in anonymous reviews, so I will tell you up front that I am Jim Schutte, husband of former mayor Carolyn Schutte, who is now at ESNR recovering from an anoxic brain injury. I have spent a lot of the last 40 years in hospitals, both in a professional capacity and caring for loved ones. I have never met a more dedicated and responsive group of professionals than those at ESNR. They consistently go out of their way to meet the needs of family and patients alike. That said, realize that nursing and rehab facilities are not "dumps" where you simply drop people off. If you love them, you have to remain involved in their care and a part of their lives. Would you want a bunch of strangers taking care of you without your own family's involvement? If you really love your disabled relative and are willing to do your own part in providing oversight and direction, you will never find a place that is more willing to listen to your concerns and work with you in meeting their needs. This place is the best! And ignore one-star reviews from disgruntled former employees.

What a wonderful stay my mother had here. The staff was always helpful. Mom loved the breakfast that was served. She stayed in there Rehab unit and the Rehab staff was so friendly and did such a fantastic job getting my mother back home to us. Mom is in her 90's and we just cannot say enough. The management team was always there to listen and help us out with whatever concerns we had, so once again Thank you all for taking great care of mom.

This Place does have it Pro's, but they are very few and far between. There are alot more Con's, they have some very GOOD CNA'S but they also have several BAD! I have seen first hand the management treating the best ones there as if they were trash and lying on them. And when complaints have been made against several of the aids that are not very good they are brushed under the rug as if they were never made. I have seen nurses tell aids that they don't have time for a resident because its not their hall and that really upset me. If you are a RN and some one needs you it doesn't matter who you should help them! Thank you have a great day!
