My father was a resident in 2013. Initially, the nursing home team gave us multiple promises about his care, none of which happened without our family's complaining and watchful eye. The doctor never examined him for his medical conditions, he was dehydrated, he was left with diaper on all day without changes, and he fell 4x times, the last two incidents went unreported by staff, luckily two of the workers informed us. My father was removed from the home due to negligence and a L.A.R.A complaint and investigation was launched through the state of Michigan. The stated found that the dates in question regarding my fathers falls were missing from the medical documentation. For the benefit of the reader, once we asked around in our community (churches and other senior organizations) we received feedback that the facility was lacking in it's care. Wish we had know that in the beginning.
