Great staff! Pleasant facility. My mother stayed after a hip replacement. The Care was very professional. I always recommend it to friends and family.

My dad has been at Good Samaritan for about two months now and he loves it. It is not perfect but no place can be perfect. The things I love are how hard the staff tries to be perfect, clean, good food, cheerful and caring 24/7; what more could I want.

My grandmother loves it here. The staff is well trained and very loving. I have never seen anything but kindness from this place. I will always recommend Boise Good Sam.

I do not recommend Good Samaritan Home. Our family had a very bad experience in their long-term care unit with our 90+ year-old mother. Their patient-to-nurse ratio is 12 to 1 (yes, that means there are only 2 nurses caring for 24 patients). Because of this, they are unable to provide timely care such as helping transport patients for toilet needs. This is a large facility and our mother had to use a wheelchair to get around. She complained many times about the nurses leaving her in the hallway or the activity room where she had to wheel herself to her destination. They were so neglectful, our mother fell trying to get herself to the bathroom. She broke bones in her hand and was bruised badly. They would still wheel her to the hallway and expect her to wheel herself to her destination—even with a broken hand! We promptly moved our mother to a different facility and plan to file an official complaint with local Health and Welfare authorities. If you’re looking for a well-run facility for long-term care for your loved one, keep looking.

When my mother had to go for rehab following hip surgery, I could not be happier with the loving care she was treated with. It is apparent that the staff at Good Samaritan love what they do and love the patients they serve. The therapy services were excellent and the food seriously could not be beat!

Here's one example of the kind of care we experienced at Good Samaritan, Boise Village. While in their care, my mother fell and broke bones in her hand, which the doctor taped. While her hand was still healing, during the day the caregivers would wheel her to a hallway, leave her there, and then tell her to wheel herself to the activity area where the other residents were. Judge for yourself is asking someone to manage their own wheelchair transportation with a broken hand is reasonable.
