Review of San Fernando Post Acute Hospital

This facility looks great when you walk in! Initially the administrative staff is very helpful and responsive; however, after you check in your loved one… EVERYTHING CHANGES and not for the better. My father was left outside, in the cold, for more than one hour and several calls had to be made to the facility before someone brought him back in. He was told that he could only have one bath a week! His clothing came up missing and he was only there for ten days (he refused to stay one day longer!). The physical therapist was mean, refusing to allow my Dad to complete his breakfast saying if he waited for my father to eat his schedule would be messed up for the entire day -- he actually yelled at my father saying he didn't have time to wait on him to finish eating "that cereal!" The second time my father had therapy, the legs were removed from his wheelchair and although my Dad protested and told the employee who picked them up and carried them out of the room to STOP, it was to no avail and when he was discharged, he was sent home with mismatched legs that were old and beat up. When my Dad checked into the facility he brought with him a brand new wheelchair that had never been used! The floor staff was nice and helpful -- the administrative staff is very unresponsive. The head of the facility instructs the staff to constantly say she is in "in a meeting" and the assistant administrator makes promises that are completely empty. It has been almost one year and I've not received one callback, as repeatedly promised, nor has my Dad's personal property been returned. Please care enough for your loved one NOT TO PLACE THEM IN THIS HORRIBLE FACILITY!
