Review of San Fernando Post Acute Hospital

1 Star User Review

The staff who cared for our mom seemed nice and greeted us each time we were there. Our mom was covered with a rash and they gave her a cream for the itching. They released her and did not notify the family that the rash was highly infectious. The 4 family members who were caring for her now have the rash. After 2 months and several doctors prescribing antibiotics, creams for the itching, we are still unsure if it's MRSA, or Scabies. We were told in urgent care that the severity of the rash was causing her trach to be pushed out. We caught it partially out a couple of times, but one night it came all the way out and we lost her.

The rash was most likely scabies. This particular snf likes to tell the incoming EMS personnel that it is something else to make sure they can still recieve patients from hospitals. If they admit to having a Scabies outbreak they will be unable to recieve any more new patients, therefore ending any new cash flow.
