We had a family member at this facility who was a Medi-Cal patient. After a short stay we were told he was medically able to be discharged. Even though it was obvious that he wasn't ready and even had other medical professionals backing up our opinion, he was discharged, against our wishes. He was sent to another facility and to make matters worse, that facility wasn't made aware of our family member's medical needs. Less than 8 hours later our family member was back in the hospital in ICU. Plain and simple, Villa Pomerado wanted him out of there because he was a Medi-Cal patient, therefore lower paying.
If you love your family member, don't let them go to Villa Pomerado.
