Our experience with a loved one has been extremely poor. It is my opinion that the majority of the nurses (?) working there are just going through the motions and really don't care if their patients survive another day or not. I've witnessed patients stuped over in wheelchairs alone in the hallways drulling on themselves. It was so obvious this women needed help, so I got a towel wiped her clean and alerted a nurse…..only to be "bawled out!"
Since our insurance only covers so much of the $300 per day (to share a room!), you would expect a much cleaner facility. It smells like a 5 grade cafeteria and just as messy. God forbid if you ask to change any part of the lunch menu….
Doing some basic math from the stat's provided…check this out: 96 beds of which 74% occupied; that's about 71 beds. At $300 per day, that $21,300 per day or $639,000 per month or about $7.7 million/yr. I can tell you from what I've seen, there can't be much of this going in to support this facilty.
