Review of Whitney Oaks Care Center

1 Star User Review

I will post all of the reasons for my many complaints to State Licensing and Certification, Medicare, Californians for Nursing Home Reform, as well as the information contained in the letter of request, to my local assemblyman - as to why I feel that a fraud investigation is, not only warranted, but severely overdue, concerning patients diet (charting how much a patient does or doesn't eat), physical therapy (charting what actual activities, range and duration, assistance a patient performs / requires during 'therapy'), care issues (incompetence and lying - why a patient would be left on a commode for five to six hours, only to be told (witnessed) verifiable lies as to how 'it didn't really happen that way', or 'she wanted to sit there for that entire time' and 'she actually was in bed five or six times in between’ (!?!)) at such point that my mother is in a different facility or I have seen actual changes occur and am convinced that my mother won’t suffer punitive repercussions.

Do not trust the staff at this 'facility' to provide you with accurate information regarding your relative; verify absolutely EVERYTHING yourself and - if your relative has the ability to keep notes on treatment, implore them to do so.

These folks will lie, they will misreport and they will cover for one another. Please find out who your political representatives are and encourage them to investigate every aspect of this 'facility'. With the cavalier attitude that their staff has, regarding truth and accuracy, it’s difficult to imagine that the rest of the ‘facility’ would be magically on the “up and up” (perhaps the IRS would be able to encourage better record keeping!). Honestly,

I can’t imagine what might be required to encourage a better work / patient ethic.
