Unfortunately the staff here did not follow my family members orders from the doctor for the entire stay. Staff was very rude any time a question was asked about why the orders were not being followed. Multiple issues during my family members stay.

The place is clean and nice and looks like a hotel. That is the only good thing about it. My father went in for rehab. He left very ill and had to be admitted to the hospital. He could use the bathroom when he went in and was wearing diapers when he left. They call them "briefs". Also you have to use their doctors and not your own. It takes several hours for one Doctor to respond. When my father was there the nurses were overworked and reported that they were covering 20 patients for one nurse. The staff took at least 15 minutes to answer call lights. Simple orders like daily weight, fluid restriction and re positioning were not followed. Communication between shifts was poor. I would NEVER place a love one in this facility if they are recovering from a serious illness. The management tries however when they are not present all of the problems continue.

My mom almost died there. 2more days and that would be it. They would not listen when told she wouldn't eat or drink anything. They kept saying she was fine even though confusion set in. They even told her Dr she was fine. This went on for we'll over a week…no eating or drinking. My sister got ahold of her dr and mom had dehydration with acute renal failure. Her lungs had filled with water and was in A-fib. She went by ambulance right from the drs office to the hospital. A couple days of decent care and she was ready to go to a different care facility. She was on her death bed and is now walking to the wheel chair and zipping down the hallway. She can talk much clearer and is already stronger. I would never allow her at Bayshore again. The phones don't work either even after being told several times.

Released a patient (mother) with low grade temp. and unstable gate, When she was admitted for rehab due to weakness she walked into the facility on her own power and upon discharge she needed assistance and also changed medications without substantial backing. Also when you go there you must accept their own doctors and their own facilities and your own care professionals have no rights in there.

My father was in your Nursing home his name was Jerry Tripp and in room 19. At first we thought this was a great place for our father to recover and gain strenght but as time went by and we noticed there was no difference and the treatment he was given I would not put my worst enemy in your care! I thank God on our last visit his partner saw this too and took him OUT of your Nursing Home!!!! When my sister and niece were there at there last visit they were treated disrespectful and our Father was pushed to the dinner table sitting in his shit cause he told my niece that he messed his pants and she told the person working and she said they are on a schedule and it was dinner time and she had no time to change him and was very rude!!! If your people dont like the job they are in send them away and get some loving workers in there!!! I do believe now that we have went through this with our father I will do my best to let other know what they are not seeing! I will in my travels will be stopping in there and looking for myself to make sure your workers are doing there job and your other residents are being taking care of with love and respect! Come on if ya cant do the job Get the Hell Out!!!!! Thank you!

Its nice to have a nursing home in the area that is locally owned and not part of a big chain. The family that owns it lives in town,(3rd generation I think) so you know they really do care about their reputation in our community. We should support our local businesses.
