I found them to be lacking in qualified personnel, although some people there are very caring, the staff are simply after generating cash flow and lack empathy . Ive seen some pretty bad care given especially when I had to insist that my father had a breathing problem and they shrugged it off until I insisted that a doctor take a closer look and it turned out that he had to go to the intensive care unit with pneumonia and died two weeks later

there is a nurse character in a very popular book who provides a number three smile with yes, yes. that is manor care. and, yes, generating money is the attitude. it is a business. there is no incentive to help a person leave, unless you can get a self paying customer. then, you can charge what you want. i found condescension and arrogance more often than concern from staff. they routinely ignored requests to be informed of their actions. when my mother fell, no one called me. the focus is on the business. you get the smile. then, you get the yes, yes.
