The facility is not suitable for open heart surgery rehab. We had a terrible experience at this facility and do not plan to have services delivered from here again. In short, open heart surgery patient arrived at facility and was confronted with 3 individuals who needed to do an assessment of the person. The individuals did not "know" of the patient's plan of care. One of them allowed my father to fall back on the bed on several occasions. He was to be assisted by 2 nurses and very seldom did that occur during the stay. Within 15 minutes of arriving, the patient's incision broke open. By day 3 there was a flowing stream of blood from his incision. Additionally, on day 3 an individual in street clothes took the patient to an open shower with several other patients to shower. The blood was flowing from the patient's wound on to the shower floor, where other patient's feet were sitting. Blood was flowing down the floor. We do not know if the individual was licensed or not to be attending to the patient.
